Domestic abuse can affect anyone regardless of age, background, or gender. It can take many forms such as physical, emotional, financial, sexual, and psychological abuse and coercive and controlling behaviour. We understand that domestic abuse is a serious issue that may require urgent and prompt action including obtaining a Non-Molestation Order and/or Occupation Order.
If you are immediate danger, you should call the Police on 999. You can also contact the National Domestic Violence Helpline on 0808 2000 247.
For many reasons, domestic abuse is not always recognised immediately. If you believe you are a victim of domestic abuse, you can contact a local domestic abuse agency for support and guidance. We work closely alongside multiple agencies which we can refer you to.
We adopt a sensitive and caring approach by supporting victims of domestic abuse to ensure they obtain prompt advice and support as well as advising in respect of protective orders.
